Personal Lines Account Manager (PST/MST) (Insurance)

Location: Remote within the Pacific or Mountain Time Zones

Salary: $52,000–$65,000 annually plus a 5% SIP

What you will do

• Independently service assigned personal lines client accounts using carrier websites and online rating systems.
• Manage new and renewal marketing, sales, account development, client questions, and coverage reviews.
• Submit applications to eligible carriers and follow up to obtain quotes and policies on time.
• Respond professionally to underwriter questions and maintain accurate agency and document management records.
• Refer clients to carriers for direct claims reporting and submit specialty-market first reports when needed.
• Use carrier service centers, direct billing, and download processes where possible.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience in a personal lines property and casualty insurance agency.
• Thorough understanding of property and casualty insurance coverages, underwriting, and rating concepts.
• Current state property and casualty insurance license, or willingness to obtain one within an agreed timeframe.
• High school diploma required; a college degree is preferred but not required.
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to prioritize workflows, collaborate effectively, and provide timely information and guidance.

Nice to have

• ARM, CIC, CPCU, or another relevant industry designation.
• Knowledge of Sagitta or WorkSmart.
• Commitment to continuing education in insurance, legislation, coverages, products, and technology.
