I&E - Instrumentation and Electrical Technician (Industrial Instrumentation)

What you will do

• Calibrate, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electronic instruments and plant control systems.
• Tune control loops and maintain valves and actuators to improve safety and operating efficiency.
• Install and maintain electrical systems and motors, including equipment operating at voltages up to 4160 VAC.
• Participate in safety programs, HAZOPs, change management, and procurement for instrumentation and electrical infrastructure.
• Support the implementation and documentation of plant projects.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary technical education in instrumentation is advantageous.
• At least two years of relevant experience with process instrumentation and control systems.
• Understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to work with valves, controls, and industrial equipment.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds occasionally and work in extreme temperatures, vibration, noise, limited ventilation, and at heights.
• Ability to safely handle chemicals, fumes, oils, electrical currents, steam, respirators, and emergency equipment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with HART instrumentation, DCS, and BMS.
