E&C; Technician, Level 1-4 (Rankin/Big Lake, TX)

Location: Onsite in Rankin or Big Lake, Texas, United States. Travel, shift work, overtime, and after-hours emergency callouts may be required.

What you will do

• Install, inspect, maintain, operate, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, electronic, and control equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspection checks on pumps, compressors, drivers, auxiliary equipment, and control systems.
• Maintain electrical switchgear and power distribution systems and support facility grounding work.
• Conduct advanced analytical testing of engines, compressors, and pumps and implement resulting improvements.
• Install, analyze, and repair security and intrusion systems while maintaining facility equipment and documentation.
• Oversee third-party construction and maintenance activities and address safety and environmental concerns.

Requirements

• Two-year associate degree in a related technical field or equivalent work experience.
• Working knowledge of National Electric Codes, process controls, gas processing fundamentals, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience reading electrical and mechanical blueprints, preparing electrical circuit drawings, and using voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, and other test instruments.
• Intermediate computer skills, basic math skills, and effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work safely in extreme weather, confined spaces, elevated platforms, excavated areas, ladders, stairwells, and low-lit areas; ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Successful candidates must pass a drug screen and complete a background check before employment.

Nice to have

• Five years of experience operating and maintaining treating plants and compressors.
• Experience with flammable gases, liquids, high-pressure systems, pumps, processing equipment, reciprocating engines, or gas turbine engines and compressors.
• Knowledge of Wonderware software.
