Sr Test Engineer (RF/EMC)

Location: Lawton, Oklahoma, USA; candidates must already be in Lawton or be willing to relocate at their own cost. The position is onsite and requires US citizenship or permanent residency; future security clearance may be required.

Salary: USD 128,000–138,000 per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead daily technical operations for two large anechoic chambers and associated RF test equipment.
• Execute complex RF, Antenna OTA, and EMC measurements according to client statements of work and aerospace and defense standards.
• Develop Python and MATLAB automation scripts to optimize test time and streamline data collection.
• Support clients with troubleshooting, failure analysis, compliance-ready test reports, and certification documents.
• Mentor test engineers, manage lab scheduling and project priorities, and communicate changes to client schedules and technical scope.
• Oversee calibration and preventive maintenance for laboratory assets and refine testing methods with the Torrance test engineering organization.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience with a B.S. degree, or 3–5 years with an M.S. degree, in RF, Antenna OTA, or EMC testing.
• Strong theoretical knowledge of RF, Antenna OTA, and EMC test and measurement principles.
• Proficiency with vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, high-speed oscilloscopes, waveform and signal generators, power meters, AutoCal, and SOLT calibration.
• Knowledge of aerospace and defense standards MIL-STD-461 and DO-160, plus experience developing automated test stands.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and managing client-facing testing projects, schedules, and technical scope.
• US citizenship or permanent residency is required. H-1B sponsorship is not available.
