Director of Land Planning

What you will do

• Lead, manage, and mentor the planning team in the Bonita Springs office.
• Oversee planning projects from concept and entitlement through implementation.
• Build and maintain relationships with private developers, municipalities, and regional agencies.
• Guide master plans, land use plans, zoning and rezoning applications, and development strategies.
• Collaborate with landscape architecture and urban design studios and present plans to clients, stakeholders, and public boards.
• Support regional business development through networking, proposals, and partnership development while managing quality, budgets, and schedules.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional planning experience.
• AICP certification.
• Deep knowledge of Southwest Florida planning, entitlement, and land development processes.
• Experience leading teams and preparing planning documents, conceptual designs, and regulatory applications.
• Strong communication, presentation, and client management skills.

• Prior leadership or management experience.
• Business development experience and a strong professional network in the Southwest Florida region.
