Civil Engineer (Energy)

Location: Cleveland, Ohio, United States; onsite in hirify.global's Cleveland office

Salary: USD 80,000–105,019.20 per year, plus potential participation in an annual discretionary bonus program.

What you will do

• Perform civil engineering calculations and develop designs with the design and engineering team.
• Design stormwater management systems, erosion control facilities, and other civil-site infrastructure.
• Prepare applications for local land development approvals and state environmental permits.
• Develop designs and plan sheets in Civil 3D.
• Assist with reports, plans, specifications, client approvals, governmental reviews, and construction documentation.
• Communicate responsively with staff, peers, management, and clients.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, civil engineering technology, or a related discipline.
• EIT certification and/or PE license required.
• 3–10 years of experience in civil-site design, including stormwater management, site grading, and road alignment.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and experience with HydroCAD or other stormwater modeling or hydrology software.
• Fluency with Microsoft Office and strong communication, writing, technical, and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license without major violations.

Nice to have

• Experience with electrical energy projects, including transmission, substations, and distribution.
• Experience analyzing site-use and topography data for stormwater management plans and best management practices.
• Experience developing erosion and sediment control plans, including site grading and contouring designs.
