Medical Equipment Technician I (Medical Equipment)

Location: San Diego District site, San Diego, California, United States. Onsite work includes periodic travel, flexible shifts, evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours support for a 24/7 schedule.

Salary: $25.30–$35.70 per hour.

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair company- and customer-owned medical equipment.
• Service medical beds, infusion pumps, patient monitoring equipment, and other devices according to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs under the guidance of a qualified biomedical equipment technician or supervisor.
• Complete accurate paperwork and computer data entry for billing and regulatory compliance.
• Communicate with clinical staff about equipment features and functionality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current, valid, unrestricted driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Basic computer skills and an understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours.
• Ability to travel periodically, lift or push up to 75 pounds, and perform extended periods of bending, climbing, kneeling, standing, and walking.
