Sr. Director, Credentialing (Healthcare)

Location: United States; remote-based with 25% travel expected

What you will do

• Lead enterprise credentialing, provider enrollment, licensing, privileging, and onboarding operations across multiple markets, practices, and payer networks.
• Define long-term strategies, performance standards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks for credentialing and enrollment operations.
• Lead and develop the credentialing leadership team while driving accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
• Oversee policies, procedures, compliance, risk management, and governance across federal, state, payer, accreditation, and regulatory requirements.
• Drive automation, technology adoption, workflow transformation, data integrity, and operational scalability.
• Coordinate provider onboarding, mergers, acquisitions, practice integrations, payer engagement, and revenue-readiness initiatives with cross-functional stakeholders.

Requirements

• 8+ years of progressive healthcare credentialing, enrollment, and provider operations experience.
• 5+ years of management experience in a credentialing or enrollment environment.
• Experience leading enterprise-scale credentialing operations across multiple states, practices, or provider groups.
• Track record of leading organizational transformation and process improvement initiatives.
• Expertise in enrollment processes involving commercial and government payers.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, practice integrations, or rapid organizational growth.
• Experience with ASC-based credentialing and privileging or delegation agreements.
