What you will do

  • Oversee eligibility verification and pre-authorization teams supporting oncology treatments and oral pharmacy services.
  • Coordinate with physicians, practice sites, the Central Business Office, insurers, healthcare providers, and billing teams to resolve revenue cycle issues.
  • Gather documentation and manage timely pre-authorization approvals, correct billing, and accounts receivable processes.
  • Implement practice management and interfaced technology solutions, coordinate system updates, and reduce manual errors.
  • Monitor approval rates, turnaround times, productivity, audits, compliance, and process improvements.
  • Supervise subordinate supervisors and coordinate training for front-office, eligibility, pre-authorization, and billing staff.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • At least seven years of medical business office experience and two years managing, delegating, and following up on others' priorities.
  • Strong knowledge of medical insurance billing and collections, CPT, ICD-9, HCPC coding, medical terminology, and managed care products such as HMO and PPO.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Regular on-site presence and in-person interaction are required; minimal travel between office sites may be necessary.
