Senior Account Manager - Commercial Lines (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role based in Austin or San Antonio, Texas, with frequent in-person client and underwriter meetings.

What you will do

• Manage 10–20 large and complex Commercial Lines insurance accounts as the day-to-day client contact.
• Provide proactive support and technical Property & Casualty insurance expertise to clients and internal account and sales teams.
• Market and place new and renewal Commercial Lines business, including preparing applications, selecting carriers, comparing quotes, and recommending insurance programs.
• Manage renewal expirations, process policies and endorsements, and prevent coverage lapses.
• Negotiate with carriers, respond to underwriters, and maintain accurate agency management system records.
• Support cross-selling, account strategy meetings, and the delegation and oversight of administrative client tasks.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in a Commercial Lines agency.
• Expert understanding of Property & Casualty insurance.
• Active Property & Casualty insurance license required.
• Strong communication, negotiation, organization, and client relationship skills.
• Comfort with internet-based programs and Microsoft Office products.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with minimal instruction.

Nice to have

• College degree.
• ARM, CIC, CPCU, or another relevant industry designation.
• Knowledge of Sagitta or ImageRight.
