Lead Engineer Firmware (Motor Control)

What you will do

• Design, optimize, and implement advanced motor control algorithms, including Field-Oriented Control and Direct Torque Control.
• Use MATLAB and Simulink for system modeling and control validation.
• Identify and resolve complex motor control and firmware issues throughout development and deployment.
• Conduct system-level testing to verify motor control performance, reliability, and safety.
• Lead and mentor the firmware project team, providing technical guidance and supporting embedded-system integration.
• Drive the global motor control firmware roadmap and maintain architecture, design, and best-practice documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Control and Drive Technology, Automation Technology, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
• More than 8 years of experience in a similar role, with extensive motor control and firmware development experience.
• Strong expertise in motor control algorithms for variable speed drives.
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, C, and C++.
• Experience leading firmware-related teams, defining development roadmaps, and integrating control algorithms into embedded systems.
• Legal authorization to work in Germany is required; visa sponsorship and work authorization will not be provided.
