Software Engineer, Embedded (Wireless Audio)

Location: Garching, Bavaria, Germany; hybrid work with on-site attendance three days per week; willingness to travel up to 10% required.

What you will do

• Develop embedded Linux software using Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy, and Ultra-Wideband.
• Design chipset-agnostic and operating-system-independent solutions for consistent cross-platform behavior.
• Integrate and optimize real-time embedded software, wireless systems, signal-processing algorithms, and machine-learning solutions.
• Evaluate and benchmark system and algorithm performance, making technical trade-offs for mass-production productization.
• Support technology transfer and downstream integration with commercialization teams.
• Prepare technical reports, white papers, and patent applications.

Requirements

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus at least six years of relevant industry experience.
• Strong knowledge of Embedded Linux, FreeRTOS, and microcontrollers.
• Professional experience developing embedded software in C and C++.
• Experience with Wi-Fi, BLE, and UWB on embedded platforms.
• Experience with continuous integration, agile software development, and multithreaded, interrupt-driven real-time programming.
• Business-fluent English required.

Nice to have

• Experience with IoT frameworks such as Matter, Tizen OS, Linux drivers, or wireless system measurements.
• Experience with multi-ecosystem integration across home audio, mobile, automotive, and professional products.
• DSP algorithm prototyping in MATLAB.
• Patents, publications, or standards contributions in wireless or audio domains.
• Experience designing scalable architectures for multiple product lines.
