VP/D - FP&A Expense Director (Fintech)

Location: Baltimore, MD, hybrid with in-office work Tuesday through Thursday

Salary: $160,000–$195,000 base annually, plus eligibility for performance-based bonuses or incentives

What you will do

• Lead FP&A expense planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and business analysis for the national branch network and central operations teams.
• Partner with operations leaders to assess cost drivers, define performance metrics, and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Build business cases, cost optimization models, and initiative tracking frameworks to support executive decisions and accountability.
• Oversee annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, long-range planning, variance analysis, and forecast updates.
• Deliver executive-level insights during monthly business reviews and develop scalable planning processes, tools, and reporting routines.
• Lead, coach, and develop a small FP&A team while establishing priorities, operating routines, review standards, and development plans.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, consulting, or business operations.
• Demonstrated ownership of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and long-range planning processes.
• Strong experience with financial modeling, expense-driver analysis, business cases, and executive reporting.
• Prior direct experience managing and developing FP&A teams, including analysts and managers.
• Ability to influence senior stakeholders, communicate clearly, operate in unstructured environments, and drive outcomes.
