Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Bedford, Pennsylvania, United States; the role combines office-based duties with physical work in field or production environments.

Salary: $73,200–$117,800 per year

What you will do

• Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, assembly processes, tooling, and production equipment use.
• Perform basic engineering calculations, investigations, and assigned manufacturing engineering tasks.
• Support senior engineers with plant layouts, designs, calculation methods, and technical reporting.
• Provide technical assistance for prototype, pilot, and production builds.
• Analyze workflow, space requirements, equipment layouts, costs, project timing, and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Review engineering changes, regulatory impacts, and fixture and tooling designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
• One to two or more years of relevant experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform both detailed office work and occasional physical tasks, including walking production floors, standing, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in Bedford, Pennsylvania, United States, across office, field, and production environments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of equipment manufacturing or the automotive industry.
• Experience with Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
