Principal Solutions Architect (Warehouse Automation)

Location: Remote in Bedford, Massachusetts, United States; ability to travel 25%+

What you will do

• Analyze customer data, conduct engineering analyses, manage requirements, and propose solutions for specific applications.
• Prepare technical response documents and deliver customer presentations throughout the presales cycle.
• Define proof-of-concept architecture, technical requirements, development activities, and risk mitigation plans.
• Assess feasibility, identify design limitations and opportunities, and transition prototypes to engineering and operations.
• Identify new solution and product opportunities and collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product Management, engineering, and program teams.
• Support feature prioritization, commercialization strategy, functional design documents, and continual improvement of product-use practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, operations, or a related field.
• Experience designing warehouse automation, particularly conveyor layouts.
• Strong business acumen and understanding of operational and financial metrics for business decisions.
• Ability to use MS Excel, MS Project, and technical drawings, including AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
• Comfort working with mechanical systems and developing models to solve complex problems.
• Ability to interface with customers successfully and professionally.
• Ability to communicate effectively with engineering and operational teams.
• Ability to travel 25% or more.
