Senior Electronic CAD Designer (PWB)

Location: Remote available; Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States. Applicants must obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.

Salary: $38.00–$66.59 per hour, US base salary.

What you will do

• Create moderate to highly complex printed wiring board layouts and associated documentation from schematic and engineering inputs.
• Assist electrical engineers with the design and layout of electrical hardware, primarily PWBs.
• Apply design constraints and advanced packaging layout techniques, including dynamic wire-bond, complex flex, and 3D die stacking.
• Work with DFM engineers to define and implement fabrication criteria that ensure manufacturability.
• Provide feedback on processes and work instructions, communicate project status and issues, and coordinate with senior technical staff.
• Work with moderate to minimal oversight and request management support when project information conflicts.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in PWB design or technical drafting with specific tools knowledge.
• Detailed knowledge of Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, Expedition, and Advanced Packaging VX tools.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and CAM350.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and familiarity with SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with IPC-7351, JEDEC-JP95, and MIL-STD-1835 standards.
• Knowledge of PWB assembly, PWB fabrication, hardware assembly, or hardware testing.
• Ability to execute project tasks efficiently, drive layout projects, organize design details, follow processes, and adapt to new work instructions.
• Good oral and written communication skills and excellent organizational skills.
• Associate degree or certificate from a two-year technical school in an applicable discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and skills.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US government security clearance.
