Systems Architect I (Material Handling)

Location: United States; hybrid for candidates in the Dallas–Fort Worth area with three days in-office, remote for candidates in other US locations

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of material handling system solutions for freight, parcel, and postal operations.
• Partner with clients and Sales to define requirements, analyze operations and data, and develop customer solutions.
• Create system concepts, process flows, material flow diagrams, Basis of Design documentation, and throughput calculations.
• Provide technical leadership across multiple concurrent projects valued from $1M to $250M.
• Coordinate with engineering, design, bid, and operations teams on specifications, pricing, and project handoffs.
• Support validation through simulation, emulation, commissioning, and acceptance criteria reviews.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least five years of successful experience in a related field.
• Proficiency in automation layout and design using AutoCAD 2D or Navisworks, with knowledge of 3D CAD modeling and drafting.
• Understanding of automation controls and strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to travel approximately 25%.
• Must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.
