Plant Operator (Mining and Mineral Processing)

Location: Nahunta, Georgia, United States; on-site work with 12-hour rotating shifts

A chemistry and manufacturing company developing products for clean energy, advanced electronics, high-performance computing, climate-friendly cooling, paints, and coatings.

What you will do

• Monitor and maintain mobile mining units, screeners, wetmill concentrators, attritioners, water treatment facilities, and related process equipment.
• Operate process systems through computer interfaces and regular inspections, tracking levels, temperatures, pressures, flow rates, production data, and safety information.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and equipment issues, perform minor repairs and preventive maintenance, and improve equipment reliability.
• Maintain operating conditions in line with standard operating procedures, production criteria, and applicable regulations.
• Coordinate with shift supervisors, maintenance personnel, EHS staff, and other plant operators to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency.
• Maintain housekeeping and plant equipment, including cleaning spirals, sumps, and distributors, and perform heavy manual work when required.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to understand detailed specifications and computer graphical user interfaces, perform basic math, and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, exercise sound judgment, and demonstrate initiative.
• Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and perform physical work around operating mechanical parts and mobile equipment.
