Manager Service Asset and Configuration Management (ServiceNow)

Location: New York City, NY; onsite. Travel to other business locations may be required throughout the year.

Salary: $96,000–$170,000 USD per year.

What you will do

• Own the Service Asset and Configuration Management lifecycle and design and maintain the enterprise CMDB with ServiceNow developers.
• Manage asset and configuration item visibility through ServiceNow Discovery, ITOM workflows, service mapping, and automated lifecycle tracking.
• Oversee application and service onboarding in accordance with the Common Service Data Model.
• Implement AI-assisted data reconciliation, predictive anomaly detection, and AI-enhanced operational and executive dashboards.
• Lead data audits, enrichment, root cause analysis, and configuration governance with Data Owners and Service Providers.
• Partner with infrastructure and application product managers to align ServiceNow capabilities with business requirements and improve processes.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in IT Service Management or Configuration Management, including designing large-scale enterprise CMDBs.
• Deep technical proficiency in ServiceNow Discovery, ITOM, and federated CMDB models.
• Expertise in Hardware Asset Management and Software Asset Management within ServiceNow.
• Advanced knowledge of CSDM concepts and ITIL best practices, plus a current ITSM or ITIL certification.
• Experience leveraging AI/ML tools for data normalization, automated mapping, and noise reduction in large-scale IT environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
