ServiceNow Lead Systems Administrator (ServiceNow)

Location: Libertyville, Illinois, United States

Salary: $120,000–$160,000 yearly, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Corporate Bonus Plan.

What you will do

• Own the administration, availability, security, governance, and continual improvement of the ServiceNow platform.
• Configure and improve ITSM capabilities covering incidents, problems, changes, requests, service catalogs, knowledge, SLAs, and reporting.
• Govern CMDB data quality and administer ITOM capabilities such as Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management, and Operational Intelligence.
• Own ITAM configuration and asset lifecycle processes, including software models, entitlements, license compliance, audits, and retirement workflows.
• Design and maintain integrations using APIs, MID Server, import sets, and Integration Hub or spokes.
• Manage releases, testing, upgrades, platform health, dashboards, KPIs, documentation, training, and automation initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 8–12 years of related experience, including at least 8 years of hands-on technical experience.
• Advanced systems administration experience with enterprise applications or platforms.
• Strong knowledge of IT service management, ITIL practices, cybersecurity, compliance, access controls, and operational support.
• Experience with configuration, workflows, automation, reporting, system data models, integrations, monitoring, and data quality.
• Experience supporting audits, access reviews, documentation, release management, security controls, and risk reduction.
• Ability to gather requirements, design sustainable solutions, troubleshoot issues, document processes, and support user adoption.
