Senior ServiceNow Engineer (CMDB)

Location: Omaha, Nebraska, United States; hybrid work with in-person collaboration three days per week and remote flexibility two days per week

Salary: $89,828–$148,215 base pay annually

What you will do

• Own and evolve CMDB architecture, technical design, governance, and roadmap in alignment with ITSM and ServiceNow CSDM.
• Design and govern integrations with SCCM, SAMPro, ServiceNow Discovery, cloud platforms, and other data sources.
• Establish CI data governance, lifecycle processes, ownership, accountability, and data quality monitoring.
• Own Services and Offerings data and lead Service Mapping and Business Service model development.
• Lead CMDB enhancements from requirements and story creation through development, testing, and deployment.
• Lead validation and regression testing for ServiceNow upgrades, patches, and new capabilities while mentoring junior team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or seven years of equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience, including enterprise CMDB and ITSM processes such as Incident, Problem, Change, and Asset Management.
• Experience with CI lifecycle management, data quality programs, governance frameworks, and ServiceNow data relationships across applications, services, offerings, assets, and software models.
• Experience with ServiceNow Discovery, Service Mapping, or third-party CMDB population integrations.
• Strong working knowledge of CSDM, including Services, Offerings, and Application Service mapping, plus ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification.
• Unrestricted United States work authorization is required; future sponsorship is not available.

Nice to have

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist in ITSM or CMDB.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
• Experience in a regulated industry such as financial services or healthcare.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and complex problem-solving skills.
