Seasonal Part-Time Broadcast Audio 1

Location: Inglewood, California, United States. Onsite presence at an hirify.global office or stadium is required; remote and hybrid options are not offered. Flexible availability is required for evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events, with occasional travel for remote productions.

What you will do

• Lead audio mixing for live and recorded studio shows, remote broadcasts, special events, and digital productions.
• Design and execute complex audio workflows, configurations, routing strategies, transmission paths, and venue integrations.
• Operate broadcast audio consoles, playback systems, audio servers, communication systems, and IP-based audio infrastructure.
• Collaborate with producers, directors, technical directors, engineers, and production personnel to deliver consistent audio quality.
• Troubleshoot real-time audio issues, maintain on-air continuity, and ensure compliance with stereo, surround, and emerging broadcast audio standards.
• Guide and mentor A2, A3, and freelance audio personnel while maintaining operational readiness.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional broadcast audio experience, including live sports and studio production mixing.
• Experience as an Audio 1 or senior broadcast audio mixer in television, streaming, or live event production.
• Advanced experience with SSL audio consoles; SSL System T and S500 experience is strongly preferred.
• Expertise in stereo, 5.1 surround, and multichannel broadcast audio mixing.
• Extensive knowledge of IP audio infrastructure, including AES67, Dante, SMPTE 2110, broadcast networking, signal flow, routing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with complex remote productions, transmission workflows, large-scale live events, playback systems, and broadcast production technologies.

Nice to have

• Experience with Riedel communications systems and networked intercom environments.
• Experience supporting national sports broadcasts and large-scale live events.
• Dante, CTS, or other relevant industry certifications.
• Experience with EVS audio workflows and replay systems.
• Familiarity with cloud-based or remote production environments.
