Swing Audio Operator (Live Entertainment)

Location: Busch Gardens Williamsburg, United States; onsite work in indoor and outdoor venues

Compensation: 19.00 USD per hour

What you will do

• Operate audio consoles, wireless microphone systems, playback software, and stage equipment during live shows and special events.
• Learn and execute audio cues and venue-specific operations across multiple theatrical shows and park venues.
• Complete opening and closing procedures, system inspections, line checks, and signal-path verification.
• Diagnose, repair, and maintain audio equipment, cabling, rigging elements, and control networks.
• Support load-ins, rigging, audio tuning, system tear-downs, and production punch-lists.
• Collaborate with Stage Managers and Technical Supervisors while maintaining show logs and safety standards.

Requirements

• At least one year of professional audio experience in live theater, a theme park, or touring, including mixing or running tracks for live shows.
• Hands-on familiarity with digital mixing consoles, wireless RF management, audio playback software, and basic signal routing.
• Valid state driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent, and age 18 or older.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or lifts at heights up to 65 feet.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varied weather, low-light environments, high-noise areas, around water, and around animals.
• Flexible availability for opening and closing shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, and rehearsals.

Nice to have

• Audio-specific training or certifications such as Dante, Q-SYS, or manufacturer training.
• Prior multi-venue or swing mixing experience in live entertainment.
