Sports Producer/Writer (Sports)

Location: Los Angeles, California; onsite at 5800 Sunset Blvd (Tribune-KTLA)

Salary: $33.50+ per hour, commensurate with skills and experience.

What you will do

• Produce sportscasts, half-hour sports shows, specials, and related programming.
• Write and edit sports content for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Identify sports storylines and moments that go beyond scores.
• Oversee and organize production elements for sportscasts, shows, and specials.
• Collaborate with executive producers, producers, reporters, and the assignment desk to generate content across KTLA platforms.
• Perform additional duties in sports and news as assigned.

Requirements

• Experienced in part-time sports producing and writing.
• Demonstrated passion for sports storytelling.
• Willingness to work weekends is required.
• Desktop editing skills are required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, creativity, and the ability to work under pressure.
• A bachelor’s degree and two years of local TV sports line-producing experience are preferred.

• Knowledge of Adobe Premiere.
• Knowledge of ENPS.
