Systems Support Engineer (Linux)

What you will do

• Maintain and troubleshoot the DAC Aloha network, DNCS, Guide, IP, and video platforms.
• Perform scheduled maintenance, network surveillance, and outage monitoring from the hub to the backbone.
• Analyze network issues, monitor VOD run statistics, re-groom existing channels, and isolate outages across video lines.
• Support engineering projects, training sessions for junior technicians, hardware replacements, and advanced-services escalations.
• Coordinate customer-impact identification and communication for nationally managed network events.
• Document and drive post-mortem action items while following scripted break/fix procedures.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience with Linux and shell scripting.
• Experience troubleshooting network and video-platform issues, including limited CMTS troubleshooting responsibility.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, variable schedules, and overtime as needed.
• Ability to analyze technical references and escalate complex issues to senior engineers.
