is recruiting for a Fortune client described as a leading global oil and gas firm.
What you will do
- Operate, tune, and maintain Unix/Linux systems, servers, workstations, and related components.
- Install and upgrade operating systems and software.
- Analyze, design, and develop upgrade processes for applications and servers.
- Research and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Develop and promote standard operating procedures.
- Maintain server and workstation data integrity in line with company controls.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of Red Hat Linux and HP-UX.
- Prior experience installing, configuring, and maintaining Unix/Linux servers, networks, and clusters.
- Advanced understanding of HP OpenView and other performance monitoring tools.
- Understanding of SAN technologies.
- Ability to work in the contractor's office in The Woodlands, Texas.
- Flexibility with working hours, time-zone awareness, and consideration for cultural differences.
