Production Technician (Chemical Manufacturing)

Location: Fayetteville, North Carolina, United States; onsite plant role requiring 12-hour rotating shifts, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and outdoor work.

What you will do

• Operate, start up, shut down, maintain, and troubleshoot chemical process equipment.
• Monitor pumps, valves, vessels, heat exchangers, condensers, controls, instrumentation, and plant conditions from the field and control room.
• Perform equipment rounds, inspections, sampling, inventory management, truck and container loading, and unloading.
• Complete preventive maintenance, equipment isolation, LOTO, purging, cleaning, minor repairs, and mobile equipment operation.
• Create work orders and job plans, coordinate maintenance activities, update procedures, and manage work scheduling and timecard information.
• Support training, emergency response, safety, environmental, housekeeping, and effective communication with supervision.

Requirements

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent plus 2+ years of relevant chemical, mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, maintenance, or instrumentation experience, or a two-year associate or technical degree.
• Valid driver’s license and basic computer, mathematics, trend-chart, and scale-reading skills.
• Ability to work rotating 12-hour shifts, weekends, holidays, overtime, outdoor conditions, and emergency response activities.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights, stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and wear required PPE including acid suits.
• Mechanical aptitude, common hand-tool skills, planning, problem-solving, self-management, and teamwork abilities.

Nice to have

• Experience in the chemicals industry.
• Work Keys Certification at Silver level or higher.
