Project Manager / Estimator (Electrical Construction)

Location: Onsite in Harrisburg, King of Prussia, or Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States

What you will do

• Estimate transmission, distribution, utility, and commercial electrical construction projects.
• Review contracts, schedules, specifications, drawings, safety documentation, and other project requirements for accurate pricing.
• Perform quantity and material take-offs and obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
• Coordinate RFIs, qualification documents, estimate reviews, corporate reviews, proposals, schedules, and award documents.
• Identify project milestones, liquidated damages, potential change orders, and other key issues for project management and regional leadership.
• Facilitate scope reviews and hand off awarded projects to project management and construction personnel.

Requirements

• Knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation used to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Strong communication, organization, analytical, leadership, and relationship skills.
• Ability to calculate discounts, percentages, area, volume, and other figures used in estimating.
• Ability to prepare construction schedules using Microsoft Project and/or Primavera P6.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and operate with minimal supervision.
• Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Experience estimating transmission and distribution, utility, or commercial electrical projects.
• Applicants interested in the Associate Estimator track can participate in a comprehensive estimating training program.
