What you will do

• Organize and assemble raw footage into continuous news stories and other programming according to scripts or instructions.
• Review, trim, and reassemble filmed segments to meet specified lengths and maximize story impact.
• Select and combine effective shots to create logical, smoothly running sequences.
• Determine and apply the audio and visual effects required to complete spots.
• Operate computer editing systems, electronic titling systems, video switching equipment, and digital video effects units.
• Maintain editing equipment and collaborate with personnel on assignments, work product, and desired effects.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Fluent English required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• At least two years of experience operating video editing equipment.
• Proficiency with video editing equipment, computers, telephones, copiers, scanners, fax machines, and other office equipment.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
