Water Conveyance Engineer

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States; travel to project sites as needed.

What you will do

• Design, analyze, and support water and wastewater conveyance infrastructure, including force mains, gravity sewers, and temporary bypass systems.
• Develop hydraulic calculations and models, engineering drawings, specifications, technical reports, cost estimates, and schedule considerations.
• Support construction through RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, field issue resolution, and constructability reviews.
• Coordinate with engineers, construction teams, clients, and other external stakeholders.
• Contribute to temporary bypass planning, flow management, value engineering, and compliance with applicable codes and regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• At least 3 years of experience designing or supporting water and wastewater conveyance systems.
• Understanding of hydraulic principles, pipe materials, industry standards, and municipal requirements, including AWWA, ASTM, and ASME.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and hydraulic modeling software.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed to support design and construction activities.

Nice to have

• Experience with CIPP, sliplining, pipe bursting, or other pipeline rehabilitation methods.
• Familiarity with flow management strategies and construction sequencing.
• Understanding of constructability and field operations.
