What you will do
- Ingest, configure, and transform structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets for mission partners and stakeholders.
- Build, automate, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for DevOps and rapid analytics delivery.
- Monitor pipeline operations and environment health while improving performance and reducing costs.
- Prototype data capabilities, evaluate emerging technologies, and deploy end-to-end data solutions.
- Collaborate with technical teams to troubleshoot bottlenecks, optimize database structures, and implement secure data retrieval.
- Automate DoD Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) compliance across data systems.
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field with 3+ years of data engineering experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years of experience.
- Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and processing large-scale data with frameworks such as Apache Spark.
- Practical experience with cloud environments such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or MilCloud 2.0.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala, plus knowledge of database architectures, data modeling, and automated configuration management.
- Familiarity with applying and maintaining DoD STIGs.
Nice to have
- Experience with Databricks, Delta Lake, Lakehouse architecture, or PySpark.
- Experience integrating data pipelines with Qlik Sense or QlikView.
- Experience with the DoD Advana Data Environment or classified networks and multiple security domains.
- Experience with CI/CD and version control tools such as GitLab, Jira, or Jenkins.
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
