Workday Data Migration and Conversion Lead (Workday)

What you will do

• Own global Workday data mapping, migration, bulk-load execution, and mass data movement governance.
• Define source-to-Workday mappings, transformation logic, validation rules, templates, sequencing, and dependencies.
• Lead test, reconciliation, production-load, mock-load, and cutover activities using Enterprise Interface Builder and approved tools.
• Manage Workday data migrations for acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, reorganizations, cost-center changes, and hierarchy restructuring.
• Build and lead a team of four Data Migration and Mapping Analysts, establishing processes, standards, mentoring, and performance management.
• Partner with HRIS, IT, Legal, integration, data governance, data quality, and business teams to ensure compliant, audit-ready data transitions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in information systems, data management, computer science, or a related field.
• 10+ years of overall experience, including at least 5 years in data management, migration, or related roles.
• Experience leading data migration in complex global organizations and managing M&A integrations with significant data migration components.
• Experience building and leading technical teams, managing stakeholders, and driving change across matrixed organizations.
• Workday HCM certification is required.
• Strong expertise in data mapping, transformation, migration methodologies, data governance, data quality, and data privacy and security compliance.

Nice to have

• Workday Enterprise Interface Builder certification.
• Master's degree and additional Workday certifications in integrations or security.
• Experience with other HRIS platforms and migration tools.
• Knowledge of AI/ML applications in HR data and experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare organizations.
• Agile/Scrum experience.
