Associate, Workday Financial Developer (L3)

Location: Hyderabad, India. Shift timings: 1 PM–10 PM or 2 PM–11 PM.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, and deploy Workday Financials enhancements, reports, and integrations.
• Translate business stakeholder requirements into effective Workday solutions with measurable business impact.
• Direct and mentor developers through code reviews, coaching, and issue resolution.
• Troubleshoot user-reported issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deliver sustainable fixes.
• Maintain and optimize existing integrations and reports, including changes required for Workday releases.
• Document configurations and system changes while ensuring compliance with internal controls, security standards, and audit requirements.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with Workday Financials modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses, and Procurement.
• Strong skills in Workday reporting, calculated fields, EIBs, integration management, and middleware or cloud-based integration tools.
• Experience leading issue resolution and coordinating or directing junior developers.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile or iterative delivery environments, preferably using Jira.
• Knowledge of Workday release management and new-feature assessment and testing.
• Exposure to cloud-native tools, automation practices, or AI-enhanced reporting and analytics.
