Injection Mold Process Technician (Plastics Manufacturing)

Location: Rockwall, United States — Channell HQ; onsite, multiple shifts

Salary: $22–$34 per hour

What you will do

• Set up and operate material-handling, molding, finishing, assembly, and support equipment.
• Perform mold changes, machine adjustments, start-ups, shutdowns, and insert changes.
• Operate forklifts to move, organize, and change molds.
• Maintain high-volume molding machines, perform minor repairs, and troubleshoot grinders, blenders, hopper loaders, and chillers.
• Monitor production, scrap, color changes, mold changes, and product completion; adjust processes to address root causes.
• Complete process records, hourly machine inspections, shift performance reports, housekeeping, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

Requirements

• 3+ years of related plastics molding processing and maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience with machine start-up and shutdown and knowledge of basic machine functions.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, pushing, and pulling.
• Basic data-entry skills and understanding of safety rules, Safety Data Sheets, and applicable ISO requirements.
• Must speak, read, comprehend, and write English.
