Sr. Director, Product Development & Engineering - HOKA Innovation (Footwear Innovation)

Location: Portland, Oregon — hybrid, with office attendance typically required three times per week, Tuesday through Thursday.

Salary: $185,600–$250,500 per year.

What you will do

• Lead the product operations function within HOKA Innovation across engineering, product development, advanced technology creation, sports science, product testing, and local prototyping.
• Deliver innovative footwear and apparel concepts, technologies, components, materials, and manufacturing methods.
• Set advanced technology roadmaps and manage project portfolios in alignment with innovation and business needs.
• Build and develop an expert technical organization, supporting team growth and cross-functional collaboration.
• Scout and onboard advanced technology vendors into the supply chain and manage global innovation partners and creation centers.
• Build and manage the Portland Maker Space to accelerate rapid prototyping and hands-on experimentation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or a related technical field; a postgraduate degree is preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive footwear and/or apparel product development experience within a global organization.
• Experience leading technical product creation across engineering, materials, manufacturing methods, and product testing.
• 4+ years of people leadership experience managing technical teams and/or complex cross-functional programs.
• Deep knowledge of footwear or apparel construction, materials, manufacturing processes, product engineering, and prototyping.
• Experience working with global development partners, including Asia-based innovation, development, and manufacturing teams.
