Senior People Operations Manager

Location: San Francisco Bay Area; onsite at Pier 28 four days per week

Salary: $130,000–$155,000 annually plus equity

hirify.global builds sensors and software that map and forecast ocean conditions, including the Spotter buoy network, Wayfinder voyage optimization, and SpotCast.

What you will do

• Own and optimize HR systems including Rippling, Ashby, Slack, and related tools.
• Maintain data integrity, build automation, and produce actionable People analytics.
• Manage payroll, benefits administration, open enrollment, and vendor coordination.
• Run onboarding, internal mobility, leaves of absence, and offboarding.
• Maintain audit readiness and support compliance with federal, California, and San Francisco labor requirements.
• Improve processes, create SOPs, and maintain the employee handbook while supporting international direct-hire transitions.

Requirements

• 6+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in People Operations.
• Based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to work onsite four days per week.
• Advanced experience administering modern HR platforms such as Rippling, Ashby, or Slack.
• Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills for data analysis.
• Deep knowledge of California employment law, wage-and-hour rules, and leave administration.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field; SHRM-SCP or SPHR is optional.
