People Operations Specialist

Location: McLean, Virginia, United States; in-office Monday through Friday. Relocation may be discussed for candidates who are not currently based in the area.

What you will do

• Own onboarding and offboarding processes end to end.
• Manage timesheet and payroll inputs in coordination with the PEO and Finance.
• Maintain HR systems, employee data accuracy, reporting, and audits.
• Resolve employee questions about benefits, policies, and HR processes.
• Improve HR documentation, policies, self-service resources, and scalable people operations.
• Identify process gaps and implement operational improvements with the Head of People and HRBP.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience.
• Experience running HR operations in a fast-paced environment, ideally within a technology startup.
• Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Comfort partnering with external vendors and internal stakeholders.
• Desire to build scalable systems rather than only execute individual tasks.
