Medication Nurse - Registered Nurse (Part-Time)

Location: Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA; onsite at 82 Pond Street

Pay: $37/hour plus bonus structure

What you will do

• Administer methadone as prescribed and monitor patients’ responses to treatment.
• Screen and assess new and existing patients to support appropriate treatment decisions.
• Collect and document urine specimens, monitor laboratory work and physicals, and maintain accurate dosing records.
• Manage medication and medical supply inventory in accordance with DEA regulations, including preparation of courtesy and vacation dose packages.
• Support regulatory, licensing, and accreditation compliance in the treatment center.
• Onboard and mentor nursing team members and collaborate with counselors and the broader care team.

Requirements

• Active RN license in the state of Rhode Island required.
• CPR and First Aid certification required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment involving prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and alternating between sitting and standing.
• Ability to use appropriate personal protective equipment when required and work with potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
• Frequent keyboarding and computer use.

Nice to have

• Experience in chemical addiction treatment.
• Knowledge of medication dispensing equipment, centrifuges, physical assessment tools, breathalyzers, and other clinical devices.
• Strong data entry, computer, critical thinking, prioritization, and decision-making skills.
• Experience with electronic medical records and standard office equipment.
