Senior Manager, Cybersecurity

Location: San Jose, California; hybrid

Targeted compensation: $200,000–$215,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead security strategy and operational execution across production infrastructure, public cloud, hybrid environments, and data centers.
• Own detection, prevention, compensating, and response controls, including validation and continuous verification.
• Partner with Production Operations, SRE, Infrastructure Engineering, and platform teams to embed security into architecture and deployment pipelines.
• Serve as senior incident commander for high-severity production security incidents and lead post-incident control improvements.
• Drive automation for alert triage, containment, enrichment, control deployment, and security telemetry.
• Mentor security and production engineers while building a culture of ownership and operational accountability.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity, infrastructure security, or production security engineering.
• 5+ years leading technical teams in production or security operations environments.
• Hands-on experience with data center infrastructure, cloud platforms including OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP, and hybrid infrastructure.
• Experience building or operating production security controls and leading high-severity incident response.
• Strong scripting or automation experience with Python, Go, Bash, or similar technologies.
• Strong knowledge of network and application-layer security, identity and access models, detection and response workflows, reliability, and change management.

Nice to have

• Experience with networking, application delivery, or infrastructure security product companies.
• Experience supporting customer-facing service platforms or working with production operations and SRE teams.
• Experience implementing large-scale automation or SOAR-driven response models.
• CISSP, GIAC, or equivalent certification.
