Advanced Packaging Engineer

Location: Kowalska, Wroclaw, Poland. On-site working model with at least four days per week in the office. May include up to 10% international travel.

What you will do

• Lead unitization improvement projects to maximize transport utilization and warehouse cube efficiency across distribution centers.
• Lead cost-saving assessments across manufacturing plants, logistics operations, and suppliers.
• Deliver VAVE cost-saving projects across the end-to-end supply chain and cross-business-group initiatives.
• Optimize packaging materials and structural designs to improve performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Investigate systemic quality and damage issues, recommend solutions, and drive sustainable improvements.
• Explore new sustainable packaging materials and technologies to support cost and sustainability goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Management and Production Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 5 years of relevant packaging industry experience.
• Strong packaging expertise and a proven record of delivering VAVE and cost-saving projects across the end-to-end supply chain.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in Polish and English.
• Proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to manage rapidly changing priorities.
• Practical knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Power BI.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with ISTA test protocols for distribution and transit packaging validation.
• Experience with SAP, PLM systems, ArtiosCAD, TOPS, or related packaging software.
• Experience with diverse packaging materials, supplier ecosystems, sustainability initiatives, manufacturing processes, and tertiary transport packaging.
• Project management leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Ability to develop innovative packaging ideas based on customer and business needs.
