Location: Hybrid, with an average requirement of two days per week from an HPE office in the United States

Salary: USD 111,000–211,000 annually in Colorado; USD 105,500–243,000 annually in Minnesota, Texas, and Wisconsin

What you will do

• Install, update, monitor, and troubleshoot hardware and software across development systems supporting Slingshot networking ASIC validation.
• Debug prototype and Slingshot system issues, isolate root causes, and maximize system uptime.
• Collaborate with ASIC, hardware, and software teams during silicon validation and bring-up testing.
• Build compute-node images with current operating systems and software stacks.
• Maintain system-status reporting infrastructure and administer compute clusters for the validation team.
• Communicate design status, project progress, and issue resolution while mentoring less-experienced staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
• Typically 4–6 years of experience as a systems or network administrator and lab technician.
• Experience with servers, networks, filesystems, and Linux-based operating systems.
• Scripting skills in Shell/Bash and Python.
• Experience working in a hardware laboratory, including adherence to safety and electrical procedures.
• Mastery of English and the local language is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with batch compute clusters such as LSF or Slurm.
• Experience supporting high-performance computing or networking ASIC validation.
