Seasonal Part-Time Lighting Director

Location: Onsite in Inglewood, California, United States; remote and hybrid options are not offered. No relocation assistance is provided.

hirify.global Media produces live sports and key programming through studio and remote production operations.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain the visual look of productions across multiple stages and remote locations.
• Collaborate with directors, producers, scenic, video, and integration teams on lighting designs.
• Operate ETC EOS consoles to play back and modify lighting looks.
• Monitor productions from the shading room and coordinate with video operators.
• Perform technical checks, stage and grid maintenance, and preventive maintenance on lighting fixtures and boards.
• Report technical and equipment issues to Studio Operations and Engineering.

Requirements

• 5–10 years of experience in studio environments supporting live and recorded productions.
• Working knowledge of studio lighting equipment, lighting design, and exterior staging across all day parts.
• Knowledge of ETC EOS lightboards and controllers, lighting data protocols, DMX-512, sACN, and ETC NET3.
• Experience with moving light fixtures, High End Systems, GLP, and LED broadcast fixtures from ETC, Chauvet, Arri, Cineo, or ChromaQ.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with the ability to read and interpret lighting plots.
• Ability to work at height, use lifts or ladders, lift up to 75 pounds, multitask, and perform under pressure.

Nice to have

• Experience with AutoCAD, Vectorworks, ETC Concert, and Lightwright.
• Advanced ETC EOS programming and ETC NET3 networking training.
• Familiarity with 1080p, HDR, UHD, and 4K studio environments.
