Account Manager (Insurance)

Location: Hybrid role in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, United States

What you will do

• Manage day-to-day service and retention for assigned commercial property and casualty accounts.
• Market new and renewal business, prepare coverage recommendations, proposals, and insurance summaries.
• Handle customer questions, renewal discussions, coverage reviews, and account support requests.
• Identify exposure to loss and recommend appropriate insurance coverages.
• Respond to underwriter questions and maintain accurate records in agency and document management systems.
• Provide work direction to less experienced staff and support Program Managers and Account Executives.

Requirements

• 3+ years of insurance experience, including experience managing less complex commercial property and casualty accounts.
• High school diploma or graduate equivalent degree.
• Property and casualty experience and appropriate business licensure for direct client service or underwriting.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, problem-solving, teamwork, and organizational skills.
