HV Technician (Solar & BESS)

Location: Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain; hybrid work with travel to project sites across Spain.

What you will do

• Support utility-scale solar PV, BESS, and critical infrastructure projects across Spain.
• Work hands-on with high-voltage equipment during installation, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Support energisation and troubleshoot electrical infrastructure on site.
• Ensure works comply with approved designs and electrical safety standards.
• Travel to project sites as required.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HV Technician in power, utilities, renewables, or critical infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with substations, transformers, switchgear, and protection systems.
• Practical experience with testing, commissioning, and energisation of electrical infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety frameworks and site safety practices.
• Relevant HV authorisations or qualifications, or the ability to obtain them.
• Fluent Spanish required. Knowledge of Spanish grid standards and requirements, including REE and distribuidoras, is a plus.
