Supervisor - Large Generation Interconnections

Location: Hybrid, with on-site work in Taylor, Texas at least 2 days per week. Remote work must be performed from a Texas residence; employees may work on-site more frequently or 100% of the time.

Expected salary: $144,000–$198,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead engineers coordinating the interconnection and modeling of generation resources of 10 MW and larger.
• Oversee screening studies, Full Interconnection Studies, interconnection agreements, protocol compliance, modeling data, and commissioning checklists.
• Coordinate network modeling and maintain planning databases and resource-entity models across departments.
• Interface with market participants and communicate interconnection requirements.
• Represent the organization in technical committees, stakeholder groups, and state and national policy forums.
• Hire, coach, mentor, and manage the performance and professional development of staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent education and experience.
• At least 5 years of related experience beyond degree requirements.
• At least 5 years of experience in transmission planning or analysis, grid operations, network modeling, or a related field.
• Experience leading or supervising professional staff.
• Availability to work on-site in Taylor, Texas at least 2 days per week and to perform remote work from a Texas residence.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience.
