Procurement Manager I (Biopharmaceutical Procurement)

What you will do

• Support project managers in the Process and Projects Engineering group with sourcing and operational procurement plans.
• Create and manage shopping cart requests, purchase orders, vendor bidding packages, RFPs, contracts, SOWs, and purchase tracking.
• Conduct pricing analysis, purchase price cost analysis, financial modeling, and competitive benchmarking.
• Lead cross-functional sourcing initiatives, including make-or-buy activities and diversity supplier inclusion.
• Develop sourcing strategies for assigned spend categories and identify cost reduction, efficiency, quality, risk mitigation, and technology opportunities.
• Prepare and evaluate formal RFPs to recommend best-value awards for engineered capital equipment while maintaining policy and regulatory compliance.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of experience in sourcing and procurement.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4–6 years of related experience.
• Experience building cross-functional alignment and successful supplier relationships.
• Strong time management, organization, financial data interpretation, risk analysis, problem-solving, and change management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, influencing, and persuasion skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple priorities and challenging deadlines; knowledge of procurement methodologies and sourcing techniques.

Nice to have

• CPM, APICS, or equivalent certification.
• Working knowledge of SAP.
• Knowledge of biopharmaceutical markets, regulations, and cGMP operations.
• MBA.
