What you will do

• Collaborate with the news team to make coverage decisions and lead urgent breaking-news response.
• Assign crews, coordinate story logistics, and maintain communication between the newsroom and field teams.
• Support newsgathering and research through calls, texts, email, and social media verification.
• Coordinate interviews, broadcast and digital segments, podcasts, live newscasts, and taped content.
• Write, edit, and publish stories for websites, social media, streaming apps, and other digital platforms.
• Coordinate streaming schedules, special events, credentialing, and content sharing between Nexstar stations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related field, or equivalent education and work experience.
• Fluency in English and excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organization, news judgment, decision-making, leadership, and multitasking skills.
• Understanding of digital platforms, social media, streaming, newsroom systems, editing tools, camera equipment, and office technology.
• Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Flexibility to work evenings and other assigned shifts.

Nice to have

• Experience in news operations.
• Bilingual Spanish skills.
