Rotating Equipment Engineer (Mechanical)

Location: Donaldsonville, Louisiana, United States; onsite role with domestic and international travel as required

What you will do

• Provide engineering and technical support for rotating equipment across six ammonia plants, five urea plants, and four nitric acid plants.
• Oversee equipment condition monitoring using vibration, oil analysis, process data, temperature, and ultrasonic surveys.
• Develop criticality-based quality assurance and quality control programs and maintain the System 1 data acquisition system.
• Investigate rotating equipment and material failures, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Design and manage preventive maintenance programs, lubrication systems, and mechanical integrity documentation in the CMMS.
• Support turnarounds, shutdowns, overhauls, repairs, contractor selection, vendor coordination, spare-parts reviews, and equipment inspections.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university, preferably in mechanical engineering, and at least three years of industry-related experience.
• Strong knowledge of vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and ultrasonics; relevant certification is preferred.
• Knowledge of rotating and reciprocating equipment, fluids handling, electrical systems, OSHA regulations, and industrial codes including ASME, ANSI, and API.
• Experience with computerized maintenance management systems; SAP knowledge is preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, presentation, and manpower-coordination skills.
• Ability to obtain, maintain, and possess a valid TWIC and passport; flexibility for domestic and international travel is required.

Nice to have

• Experience working in a plant environment.
• Certification in condition-monitoring techniques.
• Experience with SAP and Microsoft Project.
