Registered Nurse, Occupational Health - Night Shift

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; onsite at a client Health Center. Monday–Friday, night shift from 6:30pm to 3:00am.

What you will do

• Evaluate, treat, prioritize, and document patient care within the nursing scope of practice.
• Support approximately 6–16 patient visits per night, assist the nurse practitioner, manage referrals, and provide emergency care.
• Deliver evidence-based care to injured workers and coordinate case management, transitional duty, and return-to-work programs.
• Perform and document occupational health tests, screenings, physical evaluations, and treatments, including EKG, audiometry, spirometry, and vision testing.
• Maintain patient records, medical equipment, infection-control standards, and a clean and safe clinical environment.
• Collaborate on health promotion, accident investigations, injury prevention, and workplace safety initiatives.

Requirements

• Accredited nursing school certificate or Associate degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice required.
• At least three years of Registered Nurse experience in occupational health, emergency care, or ambulatory care.
• Current hands-on AHA, ARC, or equivalent Basic Life Support certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support may be required depending on the contract.
• Experience with workplace health and safety programs, hazard mitigation, health screenings, fitness-for-duty assessments, and return-to-work examinations.
• Occupational Health, Emergency Nursing, or Case Management certification may be required for some sites.
