Production Planner Expeditor (Manufacturing)

Location: Worcestershire, Worcester, United Kingdom. Shop floor-based role within a manufacturing operation.

What you will do

• Support daily and weekly production planning based on customer demand and business priorities.
• Track manufacturing work orders, review shop floor progress, and adjust schedules as requirements change.
• Identify bottlenecks, constraints, material shortages, and delivery risks; expedite urgent and high-priority orders.
• Coordinate material, tooling, labour, and machine requirements with Purchasing and Stores.
• Work with Engineering and Quality to resolve drawing revisions, technical queries, concessions, inspections, and non-conformances.
• Monitor on-time delivery, schedule adherence, lead times, work in progress, and overdue orders while maintaining accurate ERP/MRP data.

Requirements

• Experience in production planning, expediting, scheduling, or manufacturing coordination within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Strong understanding of shop floor manufacturing processes and ability to work directly with production teams.
• Experience using ERP/MRP systems for production orders, material requirements, inventory, and manufacturing planning.
• Strong organisational, prioritisation, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and influencing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, capacity planning, and inventory management.
